Research & Development

With the mission of offering products that are easy and convenient to use, Fukuda is committed to developing ever-more sophisticated products.

The driving force behind Fukuda Denshi's R&D is the desire to remain at the forefront of recent technological trends and to develop products that match the needs of the global market. In addition to medical technologies, we seek to keep abreast of the latest developments in peripheral equipment. This focus puts us at the leading edge of emerging market needs so that we can optimize the timing with which we introduce new products into the market. Concurrent with this, we remain cost-aware from the initial development stages to ensure that we bring products to the market at affordable and competitive prices.

R&D

Philosophies behind our R&D

The initiative and advanced technical expertise that made possible our introduction of Japan's first ECG set the tone for our R&D activities. We have maintained this focus through continuous investment and innovative product development. The Hongo Office is the hub of our R&D network, which creates products that combine optimal reliability with leading-edge technical expertise. Finally, throughout the R&D process we remain dedicated to providing products that best meet market needs.

Our R&D strengths

One of our key R&D strengths is our ability to develop hardware and software that contributes to the seamless integration of medical systems. In this context, we offer equipment that can be smoothly and easily integrated with products offered by other companies, resulting in systems that can be used by both small and medium-sized medical facilities.
Another strength of our R&D lies in the deep understanding of customer needs that pervades our marketing divisions and the production floor. Such understanding, coupled with experience in the field is vital if a company is to provide products that customers genuinely want, rather than offering high-tech gadgetry that does not fulfill real customer needs.
We split our hardware development into two groups: electronic circuitry and structural design. This approach has proven effective in maintaining customer confidence in our products. Finally, we employ a careful selection system and a variety of in-house training programs to help guarantee that our R&D employees are kept up-to-date with leading-edge technologies and advances in related fields.
